Campbell & Haliburton Brent Gibson Memorial Icebreaker Triathlon
The annual Brent Gibson Memorial Icebreaker triathlon is held every May at the University of Regina and is sponsored by Campbell & Haliburton Insurance and Investments. This race is to honour a fellow triathlete Brent Gibson who died suddenly in 2006. Brent was an active participant in the multisport club community and helped to co-found the club. He also spent many hours volunteering his time to train adults, kids and organize races. Come out and honour Brent by supporting this year’s race!
The race starts with a pool swim at the U of R, then a cycle out to Wascana Parkway (which is closed off to traffic), and finishes with a run down the path beside Ring Road, out to Douglas Park and back.
The Kids of Steel Triathlon (KOS) will be held on the same day. If you have young ones that would like to give this a try take a look at the distances below for more information.
