See Jane Tri
|
See Jane Tri will be held this year on June 27, 2010. This is a women’s only race, geared towards beginner triathletes, in an effort to introduce women to the wonderful sport of triathlon. Held in and around Wascana Park, the race is non competitive and focuses on a fun, friendly, and safe atmosphere. Many women have only just learned to swim, run, or ride a bike again in preparation for this race. The only equipment necessary will be a swim suit, runners, helmet, shirt, socks, shoes…and of course, a bike. You are welcome to use a mountain bike for the race, it is not necessary to buy a new road or tri bike. The swim, held in Wascana Pool, is 300m, the bike is 12km, and the run is 3.3km. Following the race, you will have the opportunity to share your triumphs of the day during a beautiful brunch held at Conexus Arts Center, included for all of the participants. If you would like help in preparing for the big day, Laura Englund offers a 6 week training clinic which begins in May. You can find additional information about the clinic HERE. Please read the See Jane Tri for the Cure Q and A if you have any questions. Please review this document before you e-mail for more information. Registration will be posted soon for the race, so please keep checking the website. Hope to see you there! Last Updated (Thursday, 27 May 2010 21:33) |
